The Summer Academy @ Cal State University is designed for middle and high school students to explore and cultivate knowledge and skill sets that allow them to come up with a tremendous portfolio for college applications.
Students leave the Academy with certificate of completion, recommendation letter, enhanced academic readiness for university admissions and academic network.
Course Descriptions
- Application and development of augmented reality & virtual reality
- C# programming tutoring from entry to advance levels
- Chances to compete in science fair and be a game entrepreneur
- Computer science knowledge, skills and tools to design & build your own 3D games
- Game programming and development incorporating computer science concepts and algorithm
Program Module
- Module One (10 hours): Understanding Unity3D and basic development skills incorporating computer science concepts and algorithm
- Module Two (10 hours): Advanced level of skills in game development with hands-on applications and 3D animation basics
- Module Three (10 hours): C# programming and creation of game algorithm and models
- Module Four (10 hours): AR and VR application development skills and final project outcome
